Announcing LAUTREC ET LA NUIT BLANCHE  - Coming in 2018! Aedicule's Peter Werkhoven, is proud to be part of the show’s award-winning creative team. In addition to show production, Aedicule has been working to curate and frame the incredible original artwork, sheet music and letters.

In the summer of 1898, 18-year-old Mary Alice Longfellow – from the privileged family of the great American poet – went off to Europe on her Grand Tour. Through a stroke of fate, she met Henri de Toulouse-Lautrec, fell in love with the vibrant spirit of Montmartre, and lived in the shadow of the Moulin Rouge for one incredible year.

The extraordinary “Les Montmartroises” she met, and the treasures she brought back to America – signed art, rare sheet music, intimate letters, even gaming chips on which Lautrec himself drew – kept her memories alive for the rest of her life. Now, in 2018 they will inspire an exceptional new fusion of art, music, dance and theatre . . . LAUTREC ET LA NUIT BLANCHE . . . a kaleidoscopic celebration of Lautrec’s world, seen through the eyes of a girl from Boston.

Mary Alice was the great-grandmother of Emmy Award-winning San Francisco conductor/producer/director George Daugherty, who leads the creative team of this new Lautrec theatrical experience. Mary Alice’s most coveted Lautrec treasures, including works of art now framed in period splendor by show producer, Peter Werkhoven of Aedicule.

Rarely heard Belle Époque songs from this new theatrical experience will be dazzlingly sung by Teatro ZinZanni star soprano Kristin Clayton, and luminous mezzo-soprano Silvie Jensen (both from The San Francisco Opera, among many other credits), in new musical restorations by Kelly Hale.
